Time for fall!!

Yes, it is officially the first day of fall. Are you ready??

So far I have stocked up on leggings, flats, skinny jeans, and long sleeves (for layering).

I am still on the hunt for darker colours. A black long sleeve shirt, darker greys & purples as well as green. The weather has switched from rain to a sun in the blink of an eye. Being flexible helps when you are freezing in the morning but swealtering in the afternoon which is typical fall weather at the moment.

I want a nice sweater that can go from cold to warm. Something that can look good layerd or on its own.

More updates to the wardrobe:
the brown bag died a week after I began to use it, so it is replaced by this beauty

It is perfect. Though it looks small it fits ALOT of stuff, but is very chic. I am happy that this purse has lasted a week so far ind looks as good as the day I bought it.

Other updates include:
leggings, three pairs in a week! What can I say, I came across good deals and got them all for under $12 a peice! Plus they are not the usual black lacy kind, they are colourful and very comfy. Yes one pair has lace on it, but I can easily roll them up to hide it!

A light purple long sleeve shirt. Very comfy(I think it's the spandex, don't worry it's a cotton blend!) and cute.

Finally, a nice white cotton sundress, perfect for layering with leggings or skinnies. I can't wait to wear it now that the weather is nice. Plus it's perfect for my birthday party, which I have decided to have a black and white theme. Summer sales are great!

There's not much else I can say. I hope to add a few more long sleeved shirts and a sweater to my wardrobe, and a pair of boots if they are really special.

More wardrobe updates.

I can't help getting into the back to school shopping craze. I have managed to get some great deals and some very godd additions to my wardrobe that will enhance it and let me bring summer clothing into the fall.

First I got this great jacket. It's short sleeved but good to layer ontop of tank tops and other shirts with a good pair of jeans or a skirt. I found it in a little store on an outing with my mom and I fell in live. Got it half price to!

Next I got these great flats on sale for half price to! (see end of summer sales are great). I originally tryed on a lighter blue pair but when I went back the next day they only had these left. Oh well they look better on me anyways and are perfectly suited for fall. I can't wait to wear them in.

This is truly a milestone.........

I cleaned my closet!!!!! Big deal, right? Not for me! For the few years that I have lived in my room, the closet has mostly been storage for everything but clothes. Not anymore! I have moved things out and recycled a few years of old school work I kept for no reason to make room for my shoes!!!

This makes it easyer for outfit choice, I have all my shoes right in front of me. And I am hopeful that my dad will let me get a lock on my door so my sister can't steal my shoes! It's so anoying, she takes them without asking and does not return them until I send mom or dad after her! It's not fair, she has a job, and we have totally different styles!! I can't wait the slam the door in her face and lock all of my things out of her reach! I mean one time I spent many days freaking out because I thought I had lost my shoes when she had taken them and had them in her room the entire time! And the last time she "borrowed" my clothing she got a hole in my favorit cardigan!!

Ok I'll stop bitching now. I'm happy about my closet and that's all you need to know.

Some new editions to my wardrobe.........

A purse, that will hopefully last me the entire school year. I always switch purses, either because I make a new one or I need a different size to accomidate my stuff. This purse should be the best of my collection; it has lots of room for school/purse essentials, but is not big and doesn't scream "look at me!" It will go with all my outfits, I can probably pull it off in any season, and it's faux leather so it doesn't show wear as badly as my canvas purses. It fits the criteria, and I'm satisfyed. Plus it has nice outside pockets for the ipod and cell.

The seccond addition is a pretty henley. Goes perfectly with a casual pair of jeans, and so far two skirts. It will be good for layering and is for once not blue (I look good in blue so I tend to buy lots of blue shirts, buying a non blue shirt is always good!)

And finally, this isn't new but it's an update to my wardrobe. I embellished one of my two pairs of medium antique wash stretch skinny flare jeans from AE. I used the DIY from Teen Vogue (for once) and I like how it turned out. The best part is when i get tired of the patches I can easily take them off.

Testing.................... hello?

I've decided to bring you all here to read my opinions on fashion, yes even in my small city. I will talk about what I think is hot, what the professionals say, and what I see.

I'd like to start out with fall 2006. I must admit I can't wait to get into muted greens and other earth colours, pile on the layers and wear jeans outside of air conditioned malls. However I will take advantage of the last few weeks of good weather in september by embracing dresses, skirts, short pants (aka capris) and sandals!

My fashion bible (almost) Teen Vogue has excited me with the newest edition, september 2006. Wow that thing is huge! It reminds me of that really really big issue of Vogue they were talking about like a year ago. Any ways, for the first time ever (for me) they have repeated the A-Z of fashion usually found in the spring issue. Very useful, and fun. Also for once I like the D.I.Y., it's simple and maybe that's why I like it. Plus there are so many adds (I would bet half the magazine is adds) for eye candy (especialls the new adds for the Juicy Couture and Vera Wang scents[must note Juicy Couture and Vera Wang have not collaborated, if it reads like that]) that I can't wait to see what everyone is wearing in spetember. Partially to laugh and criticize (yes I'm cruel, but only to myself, and possibly here) and partially to see what has caught on.

I do believe that over here in North America, we are at least a year behind in fashion. That can be useful if you remember trends from last year or held onto an item bought last year but never really used because it wasn't popular. Fashion is an interesting world, and I hope this blog will help me keep track of everything.
